A waterfall, which poured underneath a giant "Roma" to the bottom. The italian pavilion of 1939 is obviously more oriented on classical and monumental models, differently from the modernistic and futuristic building at the world exposition in Brussels in 1935.
A souvenir: very small viewer for pictures of the fair in a format of 8mm.
A figur with an height of 79 feet (24 metres) stands upon a socket of 190 feet (58 metres, seen in the middle of the picture). The red star at the top of the figur had a light in the night for warning deep flying airplanes.
At the wings of the building were great portraits of Lenin and Stalin. Underneath the portrait of Lenin was placed the following quotation:
